What is our specialty?

THEATRE CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE YOUNG CHILD

Designed by experienced early childhood educators our shows hold the attention of young children with their bright colourful format, catchy music, humorous characters and active participation of the audience. We are careful to provide age appropriate humour and content with equal appeal for boys and girls. Our work directly targets the interests and understandings of young children creating a valid learning experience for them.

Curriculum focus
Our shows are based on thorough research into social skills programs currently used in schools such as Stop Think Do, You Can Do It and Bounce Back. They are linked to VELS core learning outcomes Levels 1 and 2 (Interpersonal Development, Personal Learning, Civics and Citezenship and Communication).

OUR EDUCATIONAL TEAM

Ruth Zimmerman B.A. Grad Dip Ed. founded Honey Apple Productions. Her musical plays and CD’s, inspired by her experience in early childhood education have reached 1000’s of school children in both Australia and North America. She has won international awards for her songs.

Evelyn M.Field MAPS ASM is an expert in social survival skills. She has worked for over 30 years as a school based psychologist and in private practice. Her book ‘BULLY BUSTING’ is an Australian best seller. Our current show THE PRINCESS AND HER GARDEN was developed under her guidance.

Michelle Ball B.A. Soc. Sci. Grad Dip Ed. Early Childhood Education is an experienced kindergarten teacher. She is currently writing a thesis that looks at Social Emotional Education in Early Childhood settings.

Jenny Boymal B.Ed M. Ed. -Curriculum Development is an experienced primary school teacher. Both Jenny and Michelle design our follow up activity packages with careful attention to individual learning styles.

THEATRICAL DIRECTOR AND CAST are chosen not only for their extensive performing arts and music backgrounds but also for their experience working in early childhood educational settings. Schools comment on the high standard of our performers.
